Bacteria pathogenic to humans and present in water and sludge. It multipliesmainly at temperatures varying between 32 °C and 45 °C. This bacterium can cause Legionnaires' disease. The most serious form of this disease, known as Legionnaires' disease, is characterized by a lung infection, namely pneumonia.
