Definition : Successor and Assign

A natural or legal person who acquires or obtains the rights and / or obligations of another person named the "author" (e.g., the buyer of an apartment). Remember that the declaration of co-ownership binds the successors and assigns of the co-owners and produces its effects upon them, from the date of its registration.

The declaration of co-ownership is binding upon the co-owners and, in principle, on the occupants and tenants of the immovable.
